PhD Candidate in Economics · London School of Economics
Luca Barbato
Applied microeconomist studying how organisations adopt new technologies and redesign jobs, decisions, and incentives around them.
A brief introduction.
I am a third-year MRes/Ph.D. candidate in Economics and Management at the London School of Economics. I am an applied microeconomist interested in personnel, labour, and organisational economics, with a focus on how new technologies reshape work inside organisations.
Ongoing projects.
My work uses causal inference methods to study how firms react to technological changes by adjusting tasks, incentives and decisions. I work with administrative and operational data, often through research partnerships with firms and non-profits.
